DanceHub are proudly delivering Dance Leadership qualifications in partnership with SLQ Sports Leaders.

Overview
The Leadership Skills Foundation’s Dance Leadership qualification is a nationally recognised program designed to equip young people with the experiences and skills needed for life beyond formal education. This qualification aims to ignite their passion for dance and prepare them for various leadership roles in the field of Dance and Movement.

Course Structure
The course blends theoretical knowledge with practical tasks, providing a comprehensive learning experience. Our curriculum is designed to develop a range of transferable skills that enhance dance leadership and choreography abilities.

Key Topics Covered

– Choreographic Skills: Learn the art of creating dance routines and performances.
– Planning and Delivering Dance Events: Gain the skills needed to organise and lead dance events effectively.
– Safe Dance and Movement Sessions: Understand how to plan and conduct safe dance sessions.
– Risk Assessments: Learn to identify and mitigate potential risks in dance activities.
– Effective Dance Leadership: Develop the key behaviours and skills necessary for leading dance groups.

The course is delivered by DanceHub in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Our workforce is fully trained and passionate about empowering the next generation through dance leadership.

Course Delivery
The course consists of:
– 40% Practical Work: Hands-on experience in dance and movement.
– 60% Theoretical Study: In-depth understanding of dance leadership principles.

Safety and Compliance
All our workforce members are certified with Enhanced DBS checks, and they have completed First Aid and Safeguarding training to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

Pricing

This course is £250 per student (limited subsidised places available upon request). This course is valued at £600.


Dates

Our Dance Leadership Community Course takes place every October Half Term and February Half Term and runs for 4 days.


Location
