Applications are now open for Forward Motion 2027!
Forward Motion is a vibrant celebration of dance and movement, inviting dancers from across Crawley’s communities to come together and share the stage at The Hawth.
It’s an inclusive and accessible platform that showcases the town’s rich cultural diversity, welcoming dancers of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

Highlights from Forward Motion 2026
Forward Motion has been bringing together community dance organisations from Crawley together to perform for over 25 years. Now the 4th Forward Motion showcase produced by DanceHub CIC, Forward Motion 2026 provided an accessible and welcoming performance platform for all of Crawley’s diverse dance communities as part of DaM Fest 2026.
Across Forward Motion 2026 there were:
- Over 800 performers, aged 5 – 86yrs+
- 54 performances across 3 showcases
- 34 different local dance groups performed
- 8 local young leaders supporting backstage
Highlights from Forward Motion 2025
Forward Motion’25 kickstarted DaM Fest 2025 and showcased the diverse talents of Crawley’s community on stage.
29 local dance groups participated with over 960 performers, to an audience of over 1,750, across 3 showcases.
